Passenger in Car Driven by Alleged Drunk Calls 9-1-1

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a suspicious man with a knife, a rowdy group of rowdy teens, and a watch out for those water balloons.

At 8:54 p.m. Monday, June 24 deputies received a call from a concerned informant in the 3000 block of Calle Juarez. The informant was screaming into a cell phone, stating that the driver of the vehicle she was in was drunk and was going to kill her. The 31-year-old driver was arrested once deputies arrived. He has since been released.

Also:

At 2:53 a.m. Monday,June 24, a caller reported a suspicious man in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. The man was reportedly carrying a knife in his hand and wandering up and down local streets. No arrest was made.

At 5:03 p.m. Monday, June 24, deputies received a call about a disturbance in the 400 block of Cazador Lane. A group of teenagers was skateboarding and urinating in front of the caller’s house.

At 9:56 p.m. Monday, June 24 a caller reported a disturbance at the cross streets of Avenida Vista Hermosa and Avenida La Pata. The passengers of a camouflage Jeep Wrangler were throwing water balloons at other cars and bystanders.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
