Calle Seville to Close Thursday so SDG&E Can Replace a Pole

The six-hour full road closure will prompt SDG&E to set up a detour traffic control.

From the city of San Clemente:

On Thursday, July 10, 2014 San Diego Gas & Electric will conduct an essential pole replacement.

Their plan includes an approximate six-hour full road closure of Calle Seville for the short segment between Avenida Del Mar and Avenida Granada.

SDG&E informed the city of San Clemente that they have already contacted the occupants of the adjacent building which will not have driveway access for that time period.

SDG&E has planned the daytime road closure to ensure as little disruption as possible to surrounding residents.

Due to the six-hour full road closure, SDG&E will be setting up a detour traffic control. Police and Fire personnel have been notified. In association with the project, traffic control will also be conducted on July 9 and the the 16, but road access should still be available to motorists and pedestrians during these two days.

Since this is part of the bike route through San Clemente, the detour will be routed west down Avenida Del Mar towards the pier and Avenida Granada.
