I have been a San Clemente resident for 12 years. I have worked in the business world for 35 years having retired from VF Corp after 30 years. I have learned how to get things done in a cost effective way. As a city council member, I would be looking for ways to achieve goals without raising fees and taxes to our residents and business. I believe that water conservation should not be punished by voting in higher rates for residents as we have recently experienced. I believe that controlled and sustainable business growth can provide tax relief to residents while also improving the beauty of our community. We need to improve our beach maintenance by removing stones, kelp, and replacing them with sand, benefiting residents and visitors alike.
