Council Approves Various Infrastructure Projects

The San Clemente City Council approved road improvement grants and water and sewer rehab projects, among other items.

The San Clemente City Council Tuesday approved various items involving the town's water and transportation infrastructure.

The city is set to enter a grant application to rehab Camino de los Mares and Avenida Vaquero, as well as a grant application to improve the off-road bike trail along Avenida La Pata and other bicycle route improvements.

If the city wins them, the grants will bring in $318,000 and $1.18 million, respectively.

The city also awarded a $118,000 contract to SANCON Engineering for storm drain rehab, and approved a $30,000 addition to a $250,000 contract to improve the computer controls that run the city's sewer system.
