New Candidate up for Treasurer Job

The San Clemente City Council is set to appoint Mark Taylor to the San Clemente City Treasurer spot.

Mark Taylor of San Clemente, a financial planner and member of the city's Investment Advisory Commission, is set to take the reins as city treasurer.

Pending a vote by the San Clemente City Council Tuesday, Taylor will fill the vacant position as the current treasurer advances to fill the retiring city manager's spot.

Former councilman Joe Anderson was the first candidate for appointment to the position, but his appointment vote was taken off the city council agenda by staff at the March 5 meeting.
