Check out the work taking place at the site of Lake Forest's future sports park.

Work on Lake Forest's long-awaited sports park is underway.

Residents have begun spotting trucks and other equipment up at the intersection of El Toro Road and Portola Parkway where the park will eventually be situated.

Clearing the area of vegetation and grubbing (pulling up plant roots) is already taking place on the 86-acre site.

Very excited about the progress on this long awaited Sports Park to provide our community with the space to enjoy a multitude of activities to enrich lives through playing competitive sports. Press on, kick it up a notch, this is a Home Run and the goal should be to finish sooner than later. Puns intended!

I live right across the street from the new park .can someone tell me what all it will have as far as fields, courts . will have a running / exercise trail ? I cant seem to find out much about it . thanks chuck
