The San Juan Capistrano trail (Camino De Los Mares trail entrance) and the Forster Ranch Ridgeline Trail reopened as planned last week.
The trails shut down in July for a county waterline project, and was initially expectd to open a few weeks earlier. Workers at FORE Engineering, however, ran into rock formations that required extra work.
Additional logistical issues involving their limited work space also contributed to the delay, according to a release from the city of San Clemente.
