Building Across from Beach Club Approved

The San Clemente Planning Commission approved a Spanish colonial revival duplex across from the Ole Hanson Beach Club.

A new Spanish colonial revival-style duplex is on its way to construction at the cul-de-sac of Boca de la Playa in North Beach.

The Planning Commission Wednesday approved the 5,385-square-foot building, designed by architect Timothy Wilkes, said Commissioner Nesa Anderson. The building still must be approved by the San Clemente City Council.

Set to be built on a steeply sloping vacant lot, the three-story duplex is one lot back from the coastal bluff, facing the Ole Hanson Beach Club across the street.
