Council Honors Girls Cross Country Champs

The San Clemente High School Girls Cross Country Team Finished their season with a CIF Championship win.

The San Clemente City Council this week honored the San Clemente High School Girls Cross Country team for winning their first ever CIF Division I title.

According to OCVarsity.com:

San Clemente (87 points) had four girls score among the top 25 runners, defeating second place Vista Murrieta (105 points).

Sophomore Melissa Eisele finished 13th overall to lead the Tritons, clocking a time of 18:20.

Marina (138 points) was third, with Dana Hills (187 points) coming in fifth.

Vikings senior Laura Hollander was the top individual runner in the division, placing second in a county-best time of 17:32.

Aliso Niguel senior Danica Wyson (18:18) was 12th.
