Alzheimer's "Compassionate Caregiving" Training

The Community Resource Center of San Clemente invites you to join us on Thursday, September 27th from 9:00am-11:30am for a free training presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County geared towards health care professionals and family caregivers called “Compassionate Caregiving-Making the Moments Count.”


The training aims to  increase awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s, the 4th leading cause of death in Orange County and to give caregivers a greater understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia including practical skills to improve and support care including communication and behavioral issues and interactions. Topics include:



  • What is Alzheimer’s?

  • Why don’t they understand?

  • Why can’t it be like it was?

  • How to find joy in the journey?



There is no charge to attend the training will be facilitated by Patty Barnett Mouton, Vice President of outreach and advocacy for the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County. Refreshments will be served. Reservations are required.
