SCHS Music Holds Delicious Weekly Fundraiser

In the face of shrinking budgets for the arts at San Clemente High School, the music booster club is bringing in trendy food trucks every Monday to raise cash for kids.

The San Clemente High School parking lot was filled with delicious smells Monday as chefs in the heat of six different food trucks whipped up fried delicacies for dozens of diners.

The Triton Music and Arts Club is looking for a new way to bring in cash to support the school's music program in the face of shrinking budgets. Collecting fees from 250 food trucks that will circulate through the parking lot five to 10 at a time every Monday throughout the rest of the school year will add some crucial revenue.

TMAC's Marianne Ridsdale explained that the trucks each pay a flat fee to set up shop in the lot. Check the SC Food Truck Monday Facebook page for a list of the mobile restaurants appearing each week.
