Community Update

I was hitting meth really hard basically and it just got worse and worse, then I got a little bit better, and then I got worse again. Staying is always the issue. That was difficult for me. I just couldn’t cut it. I didn’t have the skills, I had no coping skills whatsoever I didn’t know how to live. I kept doing better and then I’d get worse. I quit on my own for about, like, two or three months, six months, it didn’t really matter because it was only a matter of time till I went back.

I had no expectations when I came to Sovereign Health. I didn’t look at the website, had no idea what to expect so all this was new to me. I really didn’t have any expectations. I mean, I just wanted to get better, and I am still working on that. The staff is great. Everything is awesome.

I only have positive things to say about staff and therapist and really have nothing negative to say at all. They were great they did their job, yeah, they were awesome. I mean, I never met better people in my life.

My tip for newcomers is just stick with it. People want to bail after like the first day or the first two weeks but it gets better. I mean you hit 30 days, it gets really rough. You hit 60 days even harder and at 90 days you are saying “I got to go.” Just stick with it and just stay strong. It does work but you really have to work at it. You’ve got to want it. I mean, this is your life and your future. You are here for a reason, so get it right.
