The annual San Clemente Ocean Festival this Saturday and Sunday will host all kinds of sports, from foot races, to stand-up paddleboarding, to dory boat races and surfing. The following is from oceanfestival.org:
San Clemente Ocean Festival is a volunteer organization, dedicated to the promotion and support of ocean safety, the environment and the community by providing a quality athletic venue and enjoyable family event.
The vision is to continue the success of the “Greatest Show On Surf” by attracting world class athletes, local residents and visitors to participate in a family oriented beach experience while maintaining a strong network of volunteers and sponsors, ensuring the long term viability of the San Clemente Ocean Festival.

Directions to Shuttles:
I-5 to Ave. Pico; go 1/4 mile inland to San Clemente High School on the right. Limited parking is available near the pier.
Directions to San Clemente Pier: From I-5 Southbound, exit Avenida Palizada, turn right to El Camino Real, turn left to Avenida Del Mar, turn right and follow to beach. From I-5 Northbound, exit Presidio, turn left to El Camino Real, turn right to Avenida Del Mar, turn left and follow to beach.
