PHOTOS: French Soccer Institute Gives Free Soccer Lessons

The company that wants to build a $25-million soccer club training facility in San Clemente hosted free soccer clinics at three parks in the city Saturday.

Keep your eyes open when you head the ball.

That was the message from Georges Ba and Alexis Gallice for their young players at the soccer clinic they hosted Saturday at San Gorgonio Park -- one of three parks where the French Soccer Institute offered the clinics throughout the day.

The effort was part of the French Soccer Institute's campaign to ensconce themselves in the San Clemente community. The company is in negotiations with the city to allow it to lease unused parkland and build a $25-million elite soccer academy.
