Pro Basketball—in Mission Viejo?

The Orange County Novastars have made Mission Viejo their home for professional basketball.

Love basketball? Think you have to drive into L.A. to see a professional game? Think again.

The Novastars are bringing pro basketball to Mission Viejo via the American Basketball Association.

"We are very excited about the upcoming season," said team owner Al Smith. "We've been working long and hard putting together a solid team and a great game experience."

Tickets are $15 for adults, with children twelve and under free.

Novastars players include Deon Marcus (Arizona State), Kenny Wright (Long Beach State) and actor Antwon Tanner, star of films such as “Coach Carter” and the CW drama “One Tree Hill.”

Saddleback Gymnasium at Saddleback College will host the Novastars at home.

Looks good. I will try to get to one of those games. Best part is kids 12 and under are free (my favorite word in the world) and the games are at reasonable times - not late at night.

What a great game! Highly recommend going out to a Novastar game. It was a great way to entertain the kids for a couple hours and what an exciting game!

Arrive 30 minutes prior to tip off and get in for HALF PRICE. Show your student I.D. and get in for HALF PRICE. We have a HUGE day planned for our 12/16 home game at 2pm! We hope you can make it. Come out and support the team and the community at the same time with our toy & food drive, $2 raffles, Nova Claus, dance team, local performances, etc.!!
