Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report.
Well, we're seeing a little opportunity to grab a session in between storms. Yep, there's a modest amount of swell and those conditions are cooperating today.
It's starting off pretty clean early on, with a combination of some west northwest swell, some northwest windswell and small south southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is giving us some fast and sectiony lines, that should improve once the tide drains out later on. Most San Clemente spots are pulling waist- to shoulder-high waves, with a few larger sets.
At 7:59 this morning the tide pushes up to a 6.4 high which will have many breaks pretty full throughout the morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 1.3 low at 2:47 this afternoon.

If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 57 degrees.
See ya in the water!
FYI...Remember the County Health Department says surfers and swimmers should stay out of the water after a rain for at least 72 hours, especially near storm drains and river mouths.
