That recipe is providing some fast, broken-up lines, with some rippable corners to pick off. Most spots in San Clemente are running about knee- to waist-high, with the focal points pulling some stomach high waves, with an occasional bigger set.
At 5:11 early this morning the tide dropped to a 0.1 low and then pushes back up to a 4.5 high at 11:11 later this morning and then drops again to a 0.4 low at 5:05 this evening.

If you're going to get wet, then throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.
See ya in the water!
FYI: County Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean after a rain for at least 72 hours, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
