Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report. Well, it's continuing to drop, but you can still find a few fun waves at those top combo spots.
We're seeing fairly clean conditions early on, with a mix of small energy. There's some leftover south swell and some minor northwest energy in the water.
That's delivering some pretty crumbly lines, with a few fast sections, but things should improve once that tide drops a bit. Most spots in San Clemente are seeing knee- to waist-high waves, with the focal points pulling a few stomach-high sets.

Taking a look at those tides: at 6:02 this morning it climbed up to a 4.5 high which will have some spots pretty slow early on. The tide then drops to a 0.0 low at 1:03 this afternoon.
If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least that 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. Good luck out there!

FYI: The County Health Department encourages surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to the possibility of elevated bacteria levels especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
