Swarm of Bees Delay Angels Game

A cardboard box laced with honey helped trap a swam of bees that stopped a Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Seattle Mariners game Sunday in Anaheim.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim had to stop their game against the Seattle Mariners in the third inning Sunday, when a large swarm of bees declared free agency in right field.

The afternoon game was tied 1-1 when Seattle players noted the buzz from right field, and both teams trotted to the dugouts.

After about 20 minutes, the swarm was lured into a cardboard box that had been laced with honey, to sweaten the deal.
