Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report. Well, it looks pretty fun from the start, with a modest amount of action, but don't be surprised if things take a turn for the worse sooner than later, due to this approaching storm!
It's mostly clean early on, with some spots seeing a little texture on the water. As fast as the surf goes ... we've got a combination of energy out there. There's some building south and southwest swells and some smaller west-northwest energy.
That recipe is offering some fast sectiony lines, with plenty of good wedgy corners. Most spots in San Clemente are running about waist- to shoulder-high, with the south facing focal points pulling head-high waves, with a few plus sets.

At 6:22 this morning the tide dropped to a 0.2 low, which will have some spots in need of water early to mid-morning. The tide then climbs up to a 3.1 high at 12:45 this afternoon.
If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. Good luck out there!!
