French Macarons, Thanksgiving Meals and Holiday Closures

1.  Woo-hoo! That shout is from all the school children who don’t have class this week, including the Capistrano Unified School District and St. Michael’s Christian Academy.

2. Do you like French macarons? Read on if you say oui: The Cellar is offering a French macaron class with Chef Kat 5 p.m. Monday. The Cellar is at 156 Avenida Del Mar.

3. Feed the homeless for Thanksgiving: Help Family Assistance Ministries as they feed the hungry and homeless 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Center. If you would like to donate food for our Thanksgiving Community Dinner and/or adopt-a-family or attend the event please contact FAM at (949) 492-8477.

4. Feeding the homeless Part II: Brick Pizzeria will be closed 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday to feed the homeless on Thanksgiving.  Donations and volunteers needed. Call (949) 429-1199 for more info.

5. Thanksgiving closures: City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday because of the holiday.
