Horns of Different Types Will Sound

What's going on this week in San Clemente.

1. We interrupt this siren test for rain: A previously scheduled siren test at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station was put off because of bad weather. So the sirens you hear Wednesday and Thursday will be another test. Weather permitting.

2. There’s still time for turkey (trot): Shorecliffs Middle School postponed this year’s Turkey Trot to Thursday because of the rain and unsafe course conditions.  “Our students’ safety is our top priority and we don’t feel it is safe for them to race on the wet track and slick sidewalks,” said Principal Heidi Crowley in an email to parents.

3. Ring in the season:  Bernice Ayer Middle School will host its holiday concert 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday.
