Radio Shack began in 1921 by two brothers, Theodore and Milton Deutschmann. They chose the name Radioshack as it was a term for a small wooden structure that held a ship's radio along with equipment. It was one of the first stores that consumers could go and compare home radios. Since then, it's grown into a very large company, selling a variety of different products from game systems, cell phones, computers and a variety of other electronics. The interior of the store is divided into sections for the different products it carries. There are television sets, GPS systems, and what would a radio shack be without radios.
