About a mile north of the pier, North Beach is one of the northernmost public beaches in San Clemente. The San…More Clemente beach trail can be accessed from the parking lot and a concession stand sits at the beach entrance.</p> <p>The beach parking lot is also used for the Metrolink platform nearby, one of two along the coast in San Clemente.</p> <p>The far northern end of the beach is open only to swimmers during the season, but surfers can hike south about a quarter mile to breaks reserved only for them.</p>

According to the Las Palmas Elementary School website, the school is a "nationally recognized model for two-way…More language immersion," meaning the students are bilingual and can read both English and Spanish by the fifth grade. </p> <p>The school sits in a neighborhood about a mile inland from North Beach and is adjacent to Max Berg Plaza Park. Las Palmas is part of the Capistrano Unified School District and the principal is Kristen Nelson.</p>
