San Clemente: Are You Ready for Woofstock?

All things dogs will be celebrated at a fundraiser next month.

Hippies of the ‘60s, your icons are being replaced. Cashing in on the similar-sounding Woodstock – the 1969 musical festival that actually took place in Bethel, N.Y. – San Clemente will have its own Woofstock, a celebration of dogs.

The family-friendly event is scheduled for Oct. 27 and is sponsored by the San Onofre Foundation and the Pet Project Foundation.

Woofstock activities include: live entertainment, K-9 demonstrations, pet-related vendors and animal rescue groups, dog and human costume contests, a dog parade along Butterfly Trail, pet contests, photo booth, free ace painting and children’s activities, raffles and refreshments.
