CRIME REPORT: Poop at the Bar, Crotch Rockets, Drunks

These are various reports selected from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 2:04 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the East Avenida Pico and I-5 freeway intersection. According to the report, a subject driving a black mini cooper exited the Denny’s parking lot and drove off on the wrong side of the road with no headlamps. 

At 12:19 a.m. Friday, police conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of Avenida Granada. According to the report, a man and a woman had been drinking at the Holiday in Express and the woman could be heard arguing and crying. 

At 8:25 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 1800 block of Calle Leticia The informant was reportedly frightened by a man in his early 20 with a “bro-hair mohawk” who was going door to door selling magazines. The informant said he was being aggressive and didn’t want to take no for an answer.

At 8:00 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Trafalgar Lane. According to the report, the informant say a young woman who was either drunk or on some kind of narcotics going door to door and begging for money and being very strange. 

At 7:10 p.m. Thursday, police arrested a 62-year-old-man in the 2300 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, a transient man was acting suspicious and had previously defecated near the back door of the OC Tavern.

At 3:13 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a hit and run on a parked car in the 3600 block of El Camino Real. The informant reportedly saw a green Dodge Durango with a trailer hit a white BMW. The 64-year-old driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol and was eventually released. 

At 2:02 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Avenida Dolores. The informant was concerned about a man who was going door to door and offering to paint the residents curbs. The informant the man appeared to be under the influence of some kind of narcotic as he was acting very hyper.

At 2:58 a.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 23-year-old-man in the 2400 block or Corte Merlango. According to the report, the informant's brother-in-law was driving while intoxicated and crashed into several parked vehicles. Police detained the man and he was taken into custody.

At 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested 24-year-old man for driving under the influence near the Calle La Quinta and calle Agua intersection. According to the report, the man passed out in the car while it was parked and still running with the headlamps on. He was taken into custody and has since been released on bond. 

At 8:48 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a reckless driver near the Avenida Granada and Ola Vista intersection. According to the report, the informant threw a t-shirt at a man who was riding a Ninja motorcycle over a 100 mph in their neighborhood. The driver of the Ninja threatened to kill the informant and was last seen heading south on Granada.
