CRIME REPORT: Suspected Drunks on St. Patrick's Day Keep Police Busy

These are reports of significant incidents pulled from the dispatch log of San Clemente Police Services.

At 1:56 a.m. Friday morning a 24 year old female was arrested on the 300 block of Avenida Santa Barbara. The female had been drinking heavily when she began beating her boyfriend and yelling uncontrollably, according to the police dispatch log. She is in jail on $50,000 dollar bail.

At 12:57 a.m. Friday morning a caller reported a music disturbance on the 200 block of Avenida Aragon. Police responded to the call and discovered a white car with dark tinted windows was blasting music. There was no arrest.

At 10:27 p.m. Thursday night police discovered a drunken man around the 2700 block of Calle Del Comercio. Reports stated the man was stumbling around in a carport area.

At 11:27 p.m.  Thursday night police responded to a loud party in progress on the first block of Via Onda. The party was broken up because police discovered there was a lot of underage drinking happening. There was no reported arrest.

At 9:27 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported suspicious activity on the cross streets of Via Aguila and Via Pera. The caller said there were two subjects possibly doing drugs. A passenger in the car was repeatedly lighting a cigarette lighter and a second car showed up and a person got out and entered the first vehicle.

At 6:22 p.m. Police responded to a drunk in public call on the cross streets of Portico Del Sur and Camino De Los Mares. A man told police he was concerned about his wife who had been drinking all day and had been suffering from depression. The man believed his wife headed north on Camino De los Mares and was in route to the liquor store.

At 5:36 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a disturbance call on Del Mar in front of the Bliss clothing store. There were two male subjects sitting on a bench drinking vodka and being "extremely verbal" with each other. There was no reported arrest.

At 4:30 p.m. Thursday police responded to a call at the Whispering Winds apartment complex on the 1100 block of Calle Del Cerro. A caller made a report that someone stole her clothes from the laundry room.  The caller said she later saw a female with her clothes and it turned into an argument.

At 8:40 a.m. Thursday morning there was a report of gas siphoning on the 100 block of Avenida  Presidio.

At 10:53 a.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 64 year old white male who was being verbally abusive and disturbing the peace on a public bus. Police arrested the man at the Carl’s Jr. in the south end of town. The man has since been released from custody.
