CRIME REPORTS: Felony Hit-and-Run, Pot Panic, Vandal in Love Triangle

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 11:04 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. Two minors had reportedly taken a bottles of Jagermeister and vodka from a liquor store and took off running toward the .

At 10:28 p.m. Monday, a burglary in progress was reported in the 1100 block of Buena Vista. According to the report, the informant had woken up and there was a man in her house with a flashlight. The man took off running out off the residence and into the street. There have been several other reports of a prowler in this area.

At 2:22 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 3800 block of Avenida Del Presidente. There were several subjects in a black truck parked in front of a complex shooting heroin.

At 6:38 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1200 block of Via Presa. There was a heated argument between a man and his wife, and the informant was concerned it was going to turn physical. The man's wife has a history of using meth and has been arrested for narcotics in the past, the caller said.

At 8:16 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a vandalism in progress near the 200 block of El Camino Real. A man calling from the Budget Inn said his wife vandalized his vehicle and took off in a cab to see her female lover in Huntington Beach.

At 7:25 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the El Camino Real and Avenida San Gabriel intersection. There were reports of three men loitering on top of the old vacant Cocos restaurant.

At 2:19 a.m. Sunday, a hit-and-run felony was reported near the Ola Vista and Avenida Miramar intersection. According to the report, a man with a shaved head was driving a Nissan Altima and ran into a pedestrian, causing her substantial neck pain. The driver of the Nissan took off and was last seen turing onto Calle Miramar.

At 1:03 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1700 block of Avenida Estacion. There were several subjects throwing rocks at an construction crew working on the tracks near North Beach. 

At 9:41 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a firework violation in the 700 block of Avenida Salvador. The informant reported six minors were shooting off fireworks in a canyon near the front of her house, and she was worried about the possibility of a brush fire. 

At 7:15 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a welfare check in the 100 block of Avenida Del Reposo. A woman called police saying she had just smoked marijuana and now thinks she is dying. The woman was unable to give police the address of where she was at and when she went outside to look for the address the call was dropped.
