CRIME REPORTS: Minors Brawling, Fortunate Skateboarder, and Drunks
Here are various crimes pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.
At 2:29 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance at the cross streets of El Camino Real and Avenida Presidio. There was a group of about five to six male minors near Goody’s Tavern trying to start a fight. The caller said she could hear them say “lets fight, lets fight,” and she wanted to speak with a police officer.
At 10:39 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a group of motorcycles racing on Avenida Pico. Police made no further report.
At 5:44 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance at the cross streets of Avenida Pico and Vista Hermosa. There was a group of unknown people throwing wet wads of paper at passing vehicles. Police made no report of an arrest.

At 5:07 p.m. Thursday, there was a traffic accident at the cross streets of Ola Vista and Avenida Cabrillo. A skateboarder in his early 20’s was hit by a passing truck but experienced no injuries. There was minor damage to the truck, and the owner said he would handle it on his own.
At 2:54 p.m. Wednesday, police investigated a person down at the cross streets of San Luis Rey and El Camino Real. A subject had been laying on a bus bench for over three hours without movement. Police made no further report.

At 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the first block of Via Sonrisa. The caller said his wife tried to run him over then went inside to get her clothes. Police provided no further information.
At 9:39 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. Two men tried to fight a passing runner. One of them was in his early 20’s had a shaved head and had been drinking vodka.
At 6:08 p.m. Tuesday a drunk female was reported stumbling along the beach near San Clemente City Tower 3. The female was assisted by two city lifeguards.
At 5:18 p.m. Tuesday a drunk driver was reported from the 600 block of Calle De Los Mares. The driver was seen driving very slow and on the wrong side of the rode from Fratello’s parking lot to the Ralph’s on El Camino Real.
At 4:14 p.m. A vandalism in progress was reported from the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. Several female minors were seen tagging with markers in the grassy area of the pier bowl. Police made no reports of an arrest.
