CRIME REPORTS: Rowdy Potter Fans, Thefts and an Assault.

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 7:17 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the first block of Calle Sol. A woman saw a man doing graffiti on a water tower with a spray can. The woman said once she made eye contact, the man ran off.  

At 1:36 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Camino De Los Mares and Camino Vera Cruz intersection. There was a seagull in the middle of the rode with a bag stuck over it’s head and was distracting vehicles. Animal control was advised to respond.

At 12:31 a.m. Friday, a 53-year-old woman was arrested in the 100 block of Palm Drive. The woman was seen by two men stealing objects near the Palm Beach Mobile Home park office. The woman had a warrant out for her arrest and previous charges. She was taken into custody and bail was posted for $2,500.

At 9:26 p.m. Thursday, a citizen assist was reported in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. There was reports of people being threatening to each other while in line for the new Harry Potter movie at the Krikorian theater. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 4:07 p.m. Thursday, a 9-1-1 hang up occurred in the 900 block of El Camino Real. Local transient woman Claudia was reportedly yelling vulgarities to the operator from a pay phone.

At 2:14 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the El Camino Real and Avenida Palizada intersection. According to the report, a man was driving a GMC and was swerving all over the road. The vehicle also had Arizona license plates. 

At 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Calle Aguila. There was a group of minors drinking alcohol in the Rancho San Clemente park. The informant said this has been an ongoing problem.

At 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, police conducted a welfare check in near the Avenida Estrella and La Placentia. There was young child inside inside of a white van yelling for help. It was unclear in the the report exactly what happened but the child was taken to Mission Hospital by the Orange County Fire Authority. 

At 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Del Mar. Local transient woman Claudia, was outside of The Shore restaurant causing a scene. There were no further reports. 

At 5:41 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an assault in the the 600 block of Calle Canasta. A woman said she was beat up by her roommate in the kitchen. When police arrived the woman was in her room crying.
