CRIME REPORTS: Talega Vandals, Pup Locked in Car and Drunks

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a vandalism in progress near the Avenida Talega and Viento Fuerte intersection. A group of five minors were throwing rocks at passing vehicles. This has been a reoccurring issues the area. 

At 11:31 p.m. Monday, police assisted an outside agency in the 200 block of Avenida Victoria. A man was drinking alcohol with friends while sitting in a window sill when he fell out and hit his head. The Orange County Fire Authority was on scene and had trouble getting the man to answer questions. 

At 12:50 p.m. Monday, a 42-year-old woman was arrested in the 200 block of El Camino Real. The woman was asked to leave the Red Fox Lounge for being too intoxicated but refused to leave when asked. The woman was wearing a bikini top and shorts. She was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 2:08 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a drunk person in a vehicle in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. A woman was seen stumbling to her red Volvo after she was unable to walk into a store. The woman took off in her vehicle and the caller was following her. 

At 3:02 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Escalones. The informant said there was a silver sedan parked in the middle of the street and thinks the driver of the vehicle is selling drugs. The informant said the house the subjects were near has been known to be a drug house.

At 3:37 p.m. Sunday, police assisted an outside agency in the 200 block of Avenida Rosa. A small white dog was locked inside a silver Saturn with Michigan plates. The San Clemente animal control was responding to the call.

At 5:49 p.m. Saturday, police conducted a welfare check in the 1600 block of El Camino Real. Police reported that a male was stumbling into traffic and bleeding from the eye. The male had been yelling at people and it appeared he had been in a fight. 

At 8:13 a.m. Saturday, a 37-year-old-man was arrested in the 200 block of Avenida Rosa for violating a restraining order. A woman’s ex-husband was trying to get into her residence. The man was taken into custody and has since been released. 

At 3:49 p.m. Friday, police helped keep the peace in the 900 block of Avenida Presidio. The informant was in a dispute with his neighbor over a property line and states the neighbor has hired people to illegally cut down his trees. 

At 2:00 a.m. Friday, police conducted a welfare check in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. Two men were seen dragging a crying woman into an apartment. When police arrived the two men were detained for questioning.
