CRIME REPORTS: BMW-Driving Shoplifer hits Target

At 3:04 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Camino De Los Mares and the Camino De Estrella intersection. According to the report, a man and a woman were seen pan handling with their children near the Wells Fargo. 

At 10:57 a.m. Monday, a caller reported an illegally parked vehicle in the 500 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, numerous vehicles were parked in a no parking zone near the Palizada and Marquita intersection. 

At 10:55 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 5500 block of Costa Escondida. According to the report, two men were seen smoking illegal drugs in a maroon Jeep. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 12:38 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 2000 block of Via Concha. According to the report, the informant was armed with a 12-inch knife and was being threatened by a friend who came into his residence with a baseball bat. Police warned informant to leave his knife in a vehicle before he approached them. The report did not state exactly what the argument was about but police detained the two subjects. 

At 10:32 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 3000 block of La Ventana. The report stated there was a large party in progress with multiple minors consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana. 

At 10:02 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a drunk down near the South El Camino Real and Avenida Algodon intersection. According to the report, a man had fallen down in the middle of Algodon and was bleeding from the mouth. The man was approximately 50-years-old and was dressed in a tan jacket and black pants. 

At 7:33 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a reckless driver near the Camino De Los Mares and Camino Del Rio intersection. According to the report, five male subjects were seen driving in a grey Scion and flipping citizens off. The driver was also seen swerving in and out of lanes and was last seen heading south bound on Del Rio towards Pico. 

At 6:29 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a drunk in public in the 500 block of Avenida De La Estrella. According to the report, a drunk man in a black hat was bothering customers at the Valero gas station. The man was last seen heading towards 7-Eleven. 

At 5:19 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a burglary in progress at the Target of Camino Vera Cruz.  The report stated that a woman walked out of store with a shopping cart full of items and unloaded them into a green BMW convertible. 

At 5:02 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 18-year-old-man near the La Ronda and El Portal intersection. According to the report, the subject appeared to be affiliated with a gang and looked like he was getting ready to fight. The man was taken into custody and has since been released.
